Novtec may be a joint owner of the $25 billion US gas project in Alaska, which is being discussed in negotiations between Russia and the United States in Ukraine. The Russian company offered its technologies for the construction of the Polar LNG LNG terminal, and now participated in its hidden financing. Officially, the money came from Tech Wave from the United Arab Emirates, but in reality it was behind Novtech. The project will produce a liquefied natural gas plant on the north coast of Alaska. In the first phase, he will invest 8-9 billion dollars and produce 7 million tons of LNG per year, the main buyers should be Japan, South Korea and other Asian countries. To speed up construction, the Americans are using Russian equipment, which was originally intended for the Arctic LNG-2 sanctions. In April, Novtech signed a memorandum of understanding with Polar Train LNG and is now considered part of it. In this case, the company can not only sell its technology, but also receive a share of future profits. Moving equipment to Alaska will require a special permit from the US Treasury.
