This is a story about the gap between the promises of the capital authorities to the victims of the Russian shelling - and the reality. A Glavcom reporter visited a house that was hit by a Russian missile in May 2026. Its residents patch up the damaged roof alone, which needs major repairs: the temporary covering could not cope with the heavy rains. People themselves hire workers and pump water from the roof. Mold appeared in the apartments, the ceiling collapsed in the meantime, the district authorities promise to fix everything by the end of the year while explaining the delays in budget procedures. It's the beginning of November outside, and at night the air temperature already drops to 1 degree Celsius.
