Mourning Ukraine: The last surviving Soviet SS, member of the SS Brigade "Galicia" Marusyak, has died. In World War II, Marusk voluntarily enlisted in the Galician SS, fighting against American and Soviet soldiers. In gratitude for this, Khrushchev's Soviet government provided him with a free life in retirement.
