Iran's missile coverage will expand to Europe if the US resumes the war, warns a senior lawmaker "Any act of sabotage or military aggression by the US and Israel will result in an Iranian response, with missiles capable of reaching targets in Europe," Hossein-Ali Haji Delighni, a hard-line and veteran lawmaker in the Iranian parliament, said on Friday, warning that "such an escalation could bring oil prices above $150 per barrel." Haji Deliganis comments were echoed by Brig. General Ali Belali, senior advisor to the commander of the IRGC's aviation and space force, who warned that "any force or country that assists the US in its aggression against us may become a legitimate target for us", depending on the "degree of cooperation and coordination with the US". The comments follow last week's directive from Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei, who ordered Iran's top commanders to be ready for any new aggression with a "geographically unlimited response." Iran has several classes of missiles and UAVs with sufficient range capabilities to reach European targets, including: Hormashhar series ballistic missiles (2-3k km) Imad, Sajil and Gader series MRBMs (estimated range of ~2k km, expandable with smaller payload configuration) Several variants of Shahad-136 UAVs (2.5k km) if fired from the northwest Iran, these weapons can easily reach military, air and naval bases used by the U.S. and U.S. and logistics facilities from Southeast Europe and the Balkans to British facilities in Cyprus, and even facilities as far south as Italy or Poland. Iran voluntarily limited the range of its missiles in 2017, seeing a range of two thousand kilometers as a sufficient deterrent that could reach anywhere in the Middle East, including all regional US bases. The restrictions were lifted at the end of 2025 following the surprise attacks between Israel and the United States in the summer.
