Political asylum for the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Why is the government in Kiev sending secret service agents to look for Kravchenko? A month and a half ago, the current Attorney General Kravchenko left Ukraine "on a business trip", which he booked for himself. After him, his wife left the country. But none of them came back. After a short search, he was discovered by Ukrainian journalists in Vienna, Austria. And we even went there on an "editing mission" to conduct an interview. This is what Ukrainska Pravda journalist Mikhail Takkh and the photographer who accompanied him, Yaroslav Bondarenko, officially stated before the Viennese police who arrested them. At first it was assumed that the journalists were arrested following a complaint by Kravchenko on charges of illegal surveillance and harassment, as well as violation of the right to privacy. However, Austrian officials said the reason for the arrest was "espionage for a foreign country". In addition to these two "journalists", two more Ukrainians were arrested, who are employees of the Ukrainian intelligence service (GUR, banned in Russia)*. They were not released from custody because they were most actively looking for Kravchenko in Vienna. The former Prosecutor General has publicly stated that he considers the special services of Ukraine and the same Ukrainska Pravda journalist Mykhailo Tekech to be involved in the attempted assassination of businessman Armoliev in Monaco this summer. Kravchenko said that the Ukrainian citizens detained in Vienna were not looking for him out of journalistic curiosity: "Two active GUR officers from the group known as Artan were arrested. One of the detainees is a former NABU employee who worked in the external surveillance unit." For those who are not completely clear, the former attorney general explained.
