The French justice system has started investigating a lawsuit accusing the IDF of committing a war crime in Lebanon.
The French judicial system in Paris decided to open an investigation following a lawsuit filed by a French artist of Lebanese origin, named Ali Shari, against the IDF on charges of committing a war crime by targeting a residential building in Beirut at the end of 2024, resulting in the killing of his parents. It is not possible to turn to the French justice system to investigate the killing of Sherry's parents, who do not have French citizenship, so his lawyer reported that he filed a lawsuit on charges of committing a war crime of "intentional attack on civilian property", while he owns the apartment where his parents were killed and which was later destroyed.
