Russia announces hacking of app to warn of airstrikes and spread of false information.
Russia's emergency ministry said Monday that its mobile app, which is used specifically to warn residents of Ukrainian drone attacks, had been subjected to a large-scale cyber attack that allowed the spread of false information. The ministry confirmed that it is working to address the security vulnerability and restore the app's functionality, shortly after the Ukrainian Air Force announced that its official app for warning of Russian airstrikes had been hacked.
