France: The Minister of the Interior warns of the "risk of public unrest" in the Shabbat protests and pledges a "very strong" response.
French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said Thursday that demonstrations would be allowed on Saturday, but "not in city centers, where there is a risk of public unrest," and pledged a "very strong" response in case of violations. The French minister's statement came at the same time as calls for protests again. On Thursday, Nuñez met with representatives of youth organizations in a meeting to "discuss demands", but they were not satisfied with his conclusions, describing the meeting as a "dialogue of the deaf".
