The IDF announced the other day that it arrested an Egyptian citizen last night after he crossed the border fence from Egyptian territory to Israel near the Nitsana area, while the Egyptian Foreign Ministry announced that it would continue to take the necessary steps to return him to Egypt, noting that the relevant authorities confirmed that he had been absent from his home since last July and that he was unfit to leave his home. This event comes at a time when the border between the two countries is witnessing drug and arms smuggling operations.
