Dakar Rally 2027 will be moved outside Saudi Arabia... And the kingdom will host the 50th edition in 2028.

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) announced on Sunday that Saudi Arabia will not host the next edition of the Dakar Rally, scheduled for January 1-15, 2027, due to security developments in the region, in a decision that came amid regional unrest that has also led to the cancellation or postponement of several major sporting events. The statement confirmed that the rally will be held in other lands, with Saudi Arabia hosting the historic 2028 edition, which represents the 50th edition of the famous desert rally.
