France following the cost of living protests: destruction and chaos, and Macron pledges responsibility and transparency

After the shock caused by the scenes of destruction and chaos, the French are looking for answers to the acts of violence and vandalism witnessed in the main cities of the country on Saturday on the sidelines of massive demonstrations against the "cost of living", half a year before the presidential elections. French President Emmanuel Macron said on Sunday that "nothing justifies" the acts of violence, and threatened those who "destroyed" and "looted" to be held accountable.
