South Korea is considering expanding its military operations in the Middle East amid continued pressure from Trump

South Korea is considering expanding the scope of its military operations in the Middle East as the US ally faces increasing pressure from President Donald Trump to provide support for the war on Iran, Seoul's Kyunghyang newspaper reported on Friday. The study includes expanding the activities of the "Chongi" anti-piracy unit, which has been sent to the Gulf of Aden since 2009, to include the Gulf of Oman leading to the Strait of Hormuz, as well as extending the duration of its mission, which should end at the end of this year.
