LIVE: Riyadh airport will remain closed this week with airlines canceling their flights

Authorities extended the closure of Riyadh's international airport until Saturday, and airlines canceled flights, after ongoing attacks by the Iran-linked Yemeni Houthi group left the Saudi capital's airspace empty of air traffic. On the ground, the Saudi-led military coalition announced on Monday the interception of a ballistic missile launched by the Iran-backed Houthis towards Riyadh, shortly after explosions were heard in the Saudi capital.
