The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced on Monday that the 2026 Nobel Prize in Economics will be awarded to Americans Robert Hall and Michael Woodford. The prize, officially known as the "Swedish Bank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel", was established in 1968 and awarded for the first time the following year.
