Seoul announces that North Korea has launched several ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan

South Korea's military said Monday it had tracked the launch of several ballistic missiles from the Pyongyang region toward the Sea of Japan, emphasizing enhanced surveillance and vigilance for more missile launches. It comes days after North Korea tested a medium-range hypersonic missile that it said used artificial intelligence to launch, and Seoul conducted the first test of a locally developed hypersonic glide vehicle, amid rising tensions between the two countries.
