Three people were killed and others were wounded in attacks targeting, on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Abha and King Khalid airports in Saudi Arabia, while the Houthis announced, in two separate statements, the two airports. The escalation coincided with ongoing fighting in Yemen that has led to the displacement of more than 200,000 people, according to the United Nations. On the other hand, two officials said that Turkey, a member of the Mecca Agreement, would send defense and technical support to Saudi Arabia, after Ankara and Islamabad pledged their commitment to the Mecca Mutual Defense Agreement. In Iran, disagreements with Washington over the nuclear program continued, amid talks on the closure of traffic lanes in the Strait of Hormuz.
