Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey activate the "Mecca Agreement" and decide to deploy "military forces and capabilities" in the Kingdom

Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have decided to "move immediately to the practical implementation of joint defense commitments" under the "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement", the three countries announced after an emergency meeting held on Monday in Riyadh. The three parties said in a joint statement that "the necessary measures were taken to provide the agreed military forces and capabilities and deploy them quickly in the kingdom" with the aim of "improving military readiness, integration and the collective ability to face and respond to threats."
