High school protests in France: the war of narratives intensifies between the government and the extreme left

French high school and university students embarked on new demonstrations on Tuesday, whether in the capital, Paris, or other cities. After the government criticized the role played by the (far-left) Gay France party in supporting youth and riots, the party responded with a counter-narrative in which it focused on police violence, while its leader, Jean-Luc Melanchon, made the defense of youth the main focus of mobilization.
