10 years in prison for three Egyptian security officials in the case of the murder of the Italian researcher Regeni

On Monday, the Italian judiciary issued a 10-year prison sentence against three Egyptian security officials in the case of the kidnapping and murder of researcher Giulio Regeni in 2016. Regeni, a graduate student at the British University of Cambridge, disappeared in the Egyptian capital on January 25, 2016. His body was found about a week later.
