The representative of the Spanish government in Ceuta resigned due to the migrant flow crisis

The representative of the Spanish government in Ceuta, Miguel Ángel Pérez Triano, resigned on Monday, after weeks of a record influx of migrants to the Spanish enclave and much criticism of the government of Pedro Sánchez from the right-wing opposition. The Madrid government has repeatedly stressed that although it had received alerts about possible border crossings, there was no sign of an influx of the magnitude seen in Ceuta.
