First visit to France... American Pope Leo XIV returns to the land of his ancestors

On Friday, Pope Leo XIV begins a three-day visit to France. He is the first pope to hold American citizenship and comes from the Normandy region in northwestern France. Although he is not particularly attached to France, as he has visited it only a little, he shows great interest in a number of prominent figures in French spirituality.
