2027 African Nations Qualifiers: Disappointing result for Tunisia, strong start for Mauritania and last-minute draw for Libya

The Tunisian national team, led by its new coach, Mouin Chaabani, started its journey with a disappointing draw, on Thursday, against its guest Uganda, 1-1, in the opening round of the eighth group of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, while Libya managed to draw against Botswana, 2-2. Mauritania scored a big win over their hosts, the Central African Republic, in the sixth house. The Ivory Coast national team defeated Ghana with two clean goals, for the third group competitions.
