The Party of Authenticity and Modernity was in charge of the election results for legislators in Morocco, and qualified one of its leaders to head the next government. The Moroccan constitution gives the king the authority to appoint the prime minister from the ruling party. It is customary to appoint general secretaries of parties to this task, but in the 2026 election different options are presented given that the winning party has a collective leadership, and has recently been joined by a broad popular figure who may be entrusted with this task.
