El Nino threatens to cause 451,000 additional deaths worldwide, with Africa most affected

Researchers at the University of Chicago's Climate Impacts Laboratory revealed on Wednesday that extreme heat caused by this year's "super" El Niño could lead to up to 451,000 additional deaths worldwide in the six months to February 2027.
