Iraq started the trial of six French citizens on charges of belonging to the "Islamic State" organization.

On Sunday morning, the Iraqi judicial system opened the trial sessions of six French citizens accused of belonging to the "Islamic State" organization. The first meeting lasted about three hours, after which the judge set October 5 as the date for the next meeting. Meanwhile, French lawyers are calling on Paris to return its citizens who could face the death penalty "as a matter of urgency".
