Cristiano Ronaldo announced his retirement from the Portugal national football team. The 41-year-old forward has played in the team since 2003 and holds the record for the most appearances (234) and goals (146) in the history of the teams. In October, Ronaldo was suspended from matches for a month and fined €255 for leaving the Portugal national team without permission.
