Cadillac a annoncé la prolongation de son contrat avec Sergio Perez jusqu'en 2029. Le pilote mexicain a rejoint Cadillac cette année, lorsque l'équipe a fait ses débuts. Perez, 36 ans, prendra ce week-end son 300e départ en Grand Prix sur son circuit national à Mexico.
