According to RBC, the cod fishing quota for Russian fishermen in the northern basin for 2027 has been increased by 14% and will amount to almost 145 thousand tons. The permitted production volumes of the donkey also increased - by almost 20% to 79.9 thousand tons and the halibut - by 11% to 9.5 thousand tons. The Northern Fisheries Association links the increase in limits with the beginning of the restoration of the fish population in the area.
