The US presidential envoy, Jared Kushner, suggested using the format of the Russia-NATO Council, which effectively ceased to work in 2014, as a model for multilateral negotiations on European security, the Washington Post writes. The initiative links the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine with the creation of a long-term security system on the continent. According to the publication, European officials are ready to discuss the new architecture only after they reach an agreement on a ceasefire.
