Fraudsters have begun using fake banking apps to gain remote access to Russians' smartphones and apply for loans on them, TASS reports, citing materials from the Russian Interior Ministry. Attackers post advertisements on the Internet offering assistance in obtaining loans. When the link is clicked, malware is installed on the victim's device, impersonating a banking service and allowing fraudsters to remotely control the phone and use personal data.
