Elena Belinovskaya's lawyers appealed to the Supreme Court with a request to cancel the conviction in the tax evasion case and to send the materials for re-examination, Izvestia reports. In March 2025, the blogger was sentenced to five years in prison, but later the appeals court reduced the sentence to four and a half years. In the past, the court rejected the defense's complaint about the refusal to postpone the execution of the sentence.
