US Treasury Secretary Scott Bassan and Trade Representative Jamison Greer called on China to immediately comply with the terms of the 2025 Busan trade freeze. According to the Financial Times, Washington expressed concern to China's vice premier that Beijing is fulfilling only two-thirds of its commitments regarding the supply of rare earth metals. The agreement expires on January 10, 2027, and the American side emphasized that further progress depends on concrete results from China.
