Tesla plans to scale back production of electric Cyber Truck-type pickups at a plant in Texas by mid-2027, Reuters reports, citing the company's CEO Elon Musk. The freed up capacity will be used to increase production of Cyber Taxi unmanned vehicles. The decision was made against the background of weak demand: in 2025, 20,200 pickup trucks were sold in the US, which is 48% less than the previous year, while the company initially expected to sell about 250,000 vehicles per year.
