The Ministry of Energy proposed to compensate the energy companies for the costs of repairing and protecting power plants against drone attacks by including these costs in the price of electricity in the wholesale market, writes an expert magazine. Decisions regarding the feasibility of restoring the facilities will be made by the government committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. According to analysts, repairs to a large power unit may cost 50-65 billion rubles. Industrial consumers did not support the initiative, and voted for the transfer of the financial burden to the businesses.
