Truck maker Daimler Trucks increased its adjusted operating profit by 73% year-on-year in the third quarter to 1.12 billion euros, Reuters reports. A year earlier, the figure was 648 million euros. The main driver for growth was the recovery in demand for equipment in North America, where the company's sales increased by 51%, to 45.6 thousand units, after a prolonged decline in the heavy truck market in the USA.
