The Ministry of Transportation published a draft of changes to the traffic rules for electric scooters, Kommersant writes. The document prohibits couriers from driving on sidewalks, and users from using the same device together. Teenagers under the age of 16 will be prohibited from driving on public roads, while electric scooters with an engine stronger than 250 watts will be compared to mopeds, which will require a license to operate them. The amendments also provide for the creation of special parking spaces for personal mobility equipment.
