The dollar index DXY fell by 0.06% to 101.41 amid the results of the US midterm elections. According to Reuters, the overwhelming victory of the Democratic Party reduced political uncertainty, which contributed to the weakening of the US currency and the growth of global stock indices. At the same time, investors' expectations regarding the monetary policy remain stable: the markets estimate the likelihood of an interest rate increase of 25 basis points by the Federal Bank in December at 81.2%.
