During the midterm elections in the United States, voters supported 40 of 41 local initiatives to limit the construction of data centers, reports CNBC. Against this background, shares of companies from the field of artificial intelligence infrastructure and cryptomining fell sharply: according to Bloomberg, the share of Sharif 8 fell by almost 23%, Galaxy Digital lost 14%, and MARA Holdings fell in price by 7%. Market participants fear that the tightening of regulation will slow down the introduction of new computing power and raise the cost of financing the projects.
