The General Court of the European Union canceled the demand to cancel the recognition of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping as an organization for the inspection and certification of ships, writes RBC. The Authority considered the measure disproportionate, and noted that to put pressure on Russia, it is enough to delay the recognition of the organization at the European Union level. At the same time, the court approved most of the other sanctions against the registry, including a ban on investments, operation and the entry of ships approved by it into European ports.
