Annual inflation in the Eurozone accelerated to 4% in October compared to 3.8% the previous month, and reached a three-year high, writes the "Financial Times" citing preliminary data from Eurostat. The main reason for the price increase was the sharp increase in energy prices. The figure exceeds the 2% target of the European Central Bank for the eighth month in a row. Against this background, market participants estimate the probability that the ECB will raise interest rates by 0.25 percentage points at the December meeting at about 70%.
