The European Commission has approved the acquisition of the German electronics chain Economy by the Chinese retailer JD.com for 2.2 billion euros, writes the Financial Times. This is the first takeover to be examined under EU foreign subsidy rules. After establishing that it received state support from Beijing, Brussels required JD.com to provide its technology and logistics to other retailers on equal terms with economics for 10 years. Following the news, the shares of the German company rose by 2.5%.
