According to Focus Technologies, during the nine months of 2026, attendance in Russian supermarkets and hypermarkets decreased by 2-7% year-on-year, Kommersant writes. Customer traffic decreased the most in the hypermarket segment - by 10.4%. Analysts attribute this dynamic to consumers' desire to save money and the shift to online delivery. At the same time, the average grocery retail bill in the months of January-October increased by 6% year-on-year, reaching 1.2 thousand rubles.
