Since November, producers of whiskey distillate in Russia have been required to meet requirements similar to standards for the production of ethyl alcohol, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta. Now, to get a new license, companies will need a paid-up authorized capital of at least 100 million rubles. A transition period is given for business adaptation until March 1, 2028. The law also expands the grounds for revoking licenses and prohibits those with an unsatisfactory reputation from running such establishments.
