According to data from the Social Fund of Russia, as of August 1, 2026, there were 40.5 million pensioners in the country compared to 40.76 million a year earlier, writes RBC. At the same time, the number of working pensioners increased during the year from 7.56 million to 8.41 million people, while the number of non-working people decreased from 33.21 million to 32.09 million.
