HSE professor Mikhail Belinkin has allowed the introduction of per kilometer road tolls in Russia within 5-10 years. At the Kazan Digital Week forum, he noted that the financing of road funds through fuel taxes has become obsolete due to the appearance of electric vehicles and a reduction in the fuel consumption of new cars by 20-25%. The Ministry of Transport stated that they do not consider and do not support such an initiative, reports Business FM.
