Iran is ready to reduce the opening period of the Strait of Hormuz for commercial shipping from seven to two days, the country's foreign minister, Abbas Araqchi, told the Al Jazeera network. Tehran calls the main condition the recognition of the new route, established jointly with Oman, and the closure of other routes. According to the minister, the resumption of traffic may lay the groundwork for negotiations with the US, but there are currently no plans for direct meetings with Washington.
