The EU's severance of energy ties with Russia is largely complete, European Economic Affairs Commissioner Vladis Dombrovskis told Bloomberg. Currently, the main suppliers of energy resources to the region are Norway and the United States. According to the agency, the diversification of imports and the development of renewable energy sources increased the resilience of the European Union, with the share of green sources in electricity production rising from 39% in 2022 to 47% in 2025, helping to soften the impact of gas costs on tariffs.
