The Ministry of Education and Science has developed a draft decree that prohibits students expelled for disciplinary violations from re-entering the same university for five years, Izvestia writes. The restriction will apply to budgetary and paid places, but will not affect those expelled at their request or due to poor academic performance. According to the department's statistics, in the academic year 2024/2025, 492 thousand people were expelled from Russian universities, which is 10.7% of the total number of students.
