The hedge fund Arini Capital Management, which manages assets of $22 billion, sold $800 million in debt securities, the Wall Street Journal writes. The sales resulted in part from margin calls by counterparty banks against the backdrop of losses in the flagship fund that exceeded 20% since the beginning of the year. The fund's portfolio was hit by investments in distressed loans from telecom companies including Altice, Optimal and Virgin Media.
