The Iranian military attacked the Louis 1 tanker owned by Dubai in the Strait of Hormuz with two magnetic mines, writes the Financial Times. As a result of the explosion, a fire broke out in the engine room, but the ship continued to move. This is the first time explosive charges of this type have been used against commercial ships in the region since June 2019. According to the publication, on Thursday another tanker and a merchant ship were damaged in the Straits due to missile attacks, explosions from which were recorded the day before.
